We will start in Aberdeen Scotland, then take the all night ferry to the Shetland Folk Festival, then return to the Edinburgh Folk Festival there before heading to Baltimore Ireland for The Fiddel Fair festival, and then onward to other amazing Irish towns. The Handmade Music School, along with The Floyd Country Store, is excited to announce the Fourth Annual Floyd County Old Time Music Get-Together at the beautiful EcoVillage in Floyd County, Virginia! This amazing four day camp is scheduled for March 23-26, 2023.

Floyd Eco Village

The camp will take place at the Floyd Events Center, which is part of the Floyd EcoVillage. The facility features beautiful timber-framed buildings on 75 private acres just a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the charming town center of Floyd. The EcoVillage hosts a performance space with a great wooden dance floor, stage and sound system for concerts and dances, and a variety of teaching spaces. There is a dining hall with a commercial kitchen and The Floyd Country Store will be offering healthy and high-quality meals throughout the weekend.

The Floyd Old Time Music Get-Together offers intermediate and advanced classes in fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, and singing. Afternoon sessions will feature presentations and workshops with visiting masters, and evenings will offer square-dancing, concerts, and lots of tune-playing opportunities.

The Caleb Klauder Reeb Willms Country Band is coming to New Orleans for a night of cajun and honky tonk along with the Daiquiri Queens! Gonna be a party! Tickets available at the door. $10!

It's the Celtic Bayou Festival y'all! Reeb, Caleb, and Dirk Powell will be sharing the craic with one and all and putting on a sweet set as a trio. Looking forward to this!

A Songwriting and Musical Retreat, Artists in Residence: Reeb Willms, Caleb Klauder & Laurie Lewis

Laurie Lewis returns to Elkhorn Ranch southwest of Tucson Arizona December 4 – 11, 2022 with Caleb Klauder and Reeb Willms. As Artists in Residence Laurie, Reeb and Caleb participate in daily Elkhorn life ~ dining in the Long House and sharing time outdoors on the trail horseback riding or hiking. Songwriting and music workshopping in the late afternoon and song-sharing after supper integrate with Elkhorn’s unique blend of camaraderie, wilderness adventure horseback riding or hiking, and Sonoran desert relaxation.
